History Lesson

Read about Baylor’s historic Quadrangle

Four state historical markers were dedicated at Homecoming 2009 in Baylor’s historic Quadrangle. Research to acquire the markers from the State of Texas was conducted by Baylor graduate students enrolled in the seminar on public history class taught by Dr. Michael Parrish.

Students in the class were: John Bean, Jennifer Colter, Lacy Cotton, Mark Firmin, Courtenay Harrold, Angelique Little, Erika Myers, Brian Reed, Dave Sikkema, and Lauren Tapley. The narratives were edited and completed by Parrish’s graduate assistant, Richard Fair.

Parrish and the students give special credit to Baylor’s Texas Collection and the helpful staff of librarians there.
