The Baylor Alumni Association would like to commend and voice public support for the actions and statements expressed by Interim President David Garland, Baylor Student Government, the Baylor Faculty Senate, and the Baylor Staff Council in response to the recent biased and racially motivated acts on the Baylor campus. Representing a diverse community of over 19,000 alumni, the Baylor Alumni Association would like to both express regret for these recent actions and denounce any such related activities past, present, or future. "I couldn't have been more disappointed when I learned of what took place, especially the fact that it was on our campus at Baylor," said Jeff Kilgore, executive vice president and CEO of the Baylor Alumni Association "It simply sends a message to the world that I feel all Baylor alumni are ashamed of, and so am I. The Baylor family, in particular, cannot condone this or any type of prejudice, acts of elitism, or self-righteousness while supporting both our historic, academic, and Christian mission."
