Baylor Black Alumni Club
The Baylor Black Alumni Club (BBAC) is an independent unincorporated non-profit organization that has maintained a cooperative, non-binding relationship with both Baylor University and the Baylor Alumni Association for the mutually interested purposes of promoting and supporting Baylor University, fostering engagement of alumni, and promoting scholarship initiatives for students. Through these relationships, the BBAC has received services provided by both organizations ranging from management of endowment funds to event and communications support.
Recently, the Baylor Black Alumni Club was offered an opportunity to become a formal part of the Baylor Alumni Network, authorized by Baylor University. The BBAC decided to continue to maintain its status as an independent, unincorporated non-profit organization moving forward. Consequently, Baylor University will discontinue providing support services to BBAC but will retain management of the BBAC Endowment Fund at Baylor. The BBAC will continue its cooperative relationship with the Baylor Alumni Association who will continue providing the traditional range of support services that it has for the BBAC and other similar organizations. The Baylor Alumni Association continues to maintain no authority or control over the BBAC.
