The Baylor Class RingThe fall 2009 Ring Ceremony was held on Tuesday, December 1 at 5:30 p.m. in Waco Hall. If you were not able to attend, you may pick up your ring from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Hughes-Dillard Alumni Center. Call 710-1121 for more information.

The Baylor Alumni Association has hosted the ceremony twice each year since the university adopted the single official ring concept as the newest of the Baylor traditions in the mid-1990s, and the event was moved to Waco Hall after outgrowing the Barfield Drawing Room. During the ceremony, students are presented their rings and told the history and meaning of the more than a dozen historic symbols on the ring.
Designed by the Balfour Company in 1995, the Official Baylor Ring may only be purchased by alumni or students who have completed 75 or more hours of study. Jeff Kilgore, executive vice president of the alumni association, said, "Baylor University's tradition encompasses 160 years, and the Baylor Ring is a tangible symbol of that heritage. For Baylor alumni, it unites our past with our present and our future."
Upon completing 75 hours, students may purchase the official university ring. A selection of ring styles may be ordered in the following ways:
- Mailing in a ring application form to Balfour
- Contacting Balfour at balfour.com or 1-866-2253687
- Ordering your ring in person during Ring Week—a week in the fall and spring semesters in which Balfour representatives are on campus to personally take orders.
If you would like to attend the Ring Ceremony, your order must be submitted before or during Ring Week. If you would like a ring application, or if you have any questions, come by the Hughes-Dillard Alumni Center in front of the law school on University Parks Drive. You may also contact Beth Michaelis at 254-710-1126 or 1-888-710-1859 for more information.
