Main Events
Game Day/ football
Each Saturday afternoon of Homecoming, alums and friends head out to Floyd Casey Stadium to "root, root, root for the home team." You'll want to don your gold (or green) and join the fun for this year's festivities. This year, the Baylor Bears take on the University of Kansas Jayhawks at Floyd Casey Stadium. Game time to be announced.
Parade
What would Homecoming be without a parade? Each Saturday of
Homecoming, the "oldest and largest" collegiate Homecoming parade begins
in downtown Waco and winds its way to campus. This year is no different. The 2010 Homecoming parade will be held on Saturday, October 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Extravaganza/Bonfire
Beginning with a family-friendly atmosphere at Extravaganza and continuing through the Pep Rally and lighting of the traditional Bonfire, this is a Homecoming tradition you and the family will never want to miss. This year the Bonfire will be held in the center of campus on Fountain Mall on Friday, October 22, and will run from 6 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
Freshman Mass Meeting
In a Baylor tradition that goes back to 1928, the first event of Baylor Homecoming each year is the Freshman Mass Meeting. The goal of Mass Meeting is to inform incoming freshmen and transfer students of a tragedy in Baylor's history and also share the meaning of Baylor's spirit and traditions. This year's event will be held on Thursday, October 21 at Waco Hall from 10 p.m to midnight. Click here to read from Baylor Line Editor Todd Copeland's book, The Immortal Ten.
Pigskin Revue
Even with three shows to choose from and Waco Hall to fill, Pigskin Revue is always a sell-out! Pigskin showcases the top eight acts from this year's All University Sing, as students sing and dance their way across Waco Hall stage. This year's event will host four performances: Thursday evening from 7 - 9:30 p.m., Friday evening at 6:30 and 10:30, and Saturday from 7 - 9:30 p.m. For tickets, please click here.
Cabaret
Since 1960, this crowd-pleaser has entertained alums with music and dancing in a smaller venue than Waco Hall. Again this year, the entertainment will be provided by the popular student ensemble ShowTime! in a single performance at 8 p.m. Friday in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center.
Singspiration
One of the longest and most cherished traditions at Baylor Homecoming is Singspiration, and the tradition will continue this year at Seventh and James Baptist Church.
