Senior Send-Off
A party to celebrate the graduating class of 2013!
Tuesday, April 23, 2013 * 4:30-6:30 p.m. * Front lawn of HDAC
The Senior Send-Off is a party for all Baylor students scheduled to graduate in May, August, or December. The festivities are held on the front lawn of the Hughes-Dillard Alumni Center on University Parks Drive. Festivities included free food, free T-shirt, free memberships, live music, games, photo opportunities, and drawings every fifteen minutes. (Click here to see our 2012 sponsors)
“Even though students graduate from Baylor, they remain forever a part of the Baylor family,” said Jan Welch Dodd ’73, the BAA assistant director of programs and awards. “This is our way of welcoming graduating seniors into the ranks of the alumni.”
At the Senior Send-Off, all graduates receive a one-year free membership in the Baylor Alumni Association. The free membership is offered to any graduate who signs up at the event, by phone, online, or at the alumni office. The BAA also provides the opportunity to purchase half-price life memberships, which have been offered for several years. New graduates can get a life membership—during a limited time period—for just $500.
There are drawings for numerous valuable PRIZES: coupons, merchandise, numerous cash prizes, and grand finale prizes of an Official Baylor Class Ring, $500 cash, and a new Apple iPad! “Seniors do have to be present to win the grand prize,” Dodd said, “so we plan for plenty of fun and lots of activities so the students stick around and enjoy themselves.”
Tell your friends, tell your family, and join us for a day of celebration at the Senior Send-Off. For more information or to inquire about next year's Senior Send-Off, contact Jan Dodd at 254-710-1204 or e-mail her at Jan Dodd.
