Jan Welch Dodd '73 joined the alumni association staff in 2004 as the programs and membership assistant, which involved coordinating and facilitating building reservations, maintaining databases on several alumni programs, and supervising student workers. As programs coordinator, she now oversees Homecoming, Heritage Club, awards recognitions, and several other programs. She also directs the Baylor University Advanced Placement Summer Institute.
Jan moved to Waco from Midland, where she had lived for twenty-four years and taught family and consumer sciences in the public school system for seven years. Jan and her husband, Charlie '73, have three children--Ryan '01; Kristen, a Texas Tech graduate; and Jordan.
